By proceeding with a reservation, that automatically means that the guest has read all the information provided by the host, both in this website and in the personalized messages sent to the guest via the booking platform messaging system (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com) or E-mail in case of a direct booking. It also means that the guest accepts all house rules, house manual instructions and pre-arrival instructions that are necessary either by law or to insure a safe and pleasant stay.
All guests (excluding children) should provide a valid I.D. before their check-in date. This process is mandatory under Greek law, since all reservations are registered in the Ministy of Finance platform for short -term rentals. Non-E.U. citizens should provide a valid passport. E.U. citizens may provide their national ID as well. Greek nationals and Greek residents should provide their A.F.M. tax number, as well as their choice of I.D. You can send a photo of your I.D. through the messaging system of your booking platform, or by E-mail.
The best way to get to Kea is to catch a ferry from the port of Lavrio in Athens. The island is just 1 hour away and it’s the perfect destination if you’re short on time. You can also reach Kea from the port of Piraeus, but there are few direct ferry routes. Due to the island’s close distance to mainland Greece, many travelers visit by private yacht as well.
You can book you ferry tickets online
You should let us know about your plans and your arrival time at least 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to give us the name of the ferry that you will be arriving with, so that we can arrange for our house manager to pick you up and lead you to the villa.
We strongly recommend that you rent a car. A 4X4 would be preferable (but not necessary), due to the fact that most of the roads on the island (including the one that leads to the villa and the best beaches) are dirt roads. Places of interest, beaches, shops, bars and restaurants are scattered across the island and it would be very difficult to navigate without a means of transportation. We recommend that you book your car in advance, so that it will be ready for you, as soon as you land on the island.
Here are some car rental suggestions at Kea Port:
Avance | Leon | Auto Club | Rental Deals | Eos | Greek Eco Cars
*We are not affiliated with any of these companies. Feel free to do you own research
Our house manager will be waiting for you at the port, holding a sign with your name. Before your check-in date you will receive a message with his contact details. Make sure to give us a working Whatsapp or Viber number as well, so that he will be able to contact you if necessary. He will lead you to the villa, check you in and show you around.
Please make sure you have a working SIM card with internet on you, so that we can contact you when needed. If your service does not work in Europe, we suggest that you buy a SIM card as soon as you get to the Athens airport. Make sure that Whatsapp is installed on your phone. Please don’t forget to message us your contact number as soon as you can!
