Communication regarding your reservation or extra services during your stay is done via your booking platform messaging system or via Whatsapp / Viber on the number you were provided with after booking.
For maintenance / malfunctions or issues that have do with the villa and cannot be addressed from a distance, please contact the house manager on the number provided in one of our pre-arrival messages or on the printed house manual.
Rubish bins are public and are not collected from each residence. They are located as you exit the villa on the side of the road.
Quiet times in Greece during Summertime are from 23:00 until 07:00 and during siesta time from 15:00 until 17:30.

There are no extra cleaning services provided or scheduled during your stay. Extra cleaning services are provided upon request for a fee (130,00€). Please let us know that you will be requiring extra cleaning services at least the day before. The cleaning fee is paid in cash to the cleaning crew upon arrival. Extra cleaning services include fresh linens and towels.
You can ask for a fresh set of linens and towels for an extra fee.

Water from the tab is NOT drinkable.
The villa, like the majority of houses and villas on the island are not connected to a main water network. Kea is a dry island and water is a precious commodity. Water to the villa is provided from a water tank. Please refrain from wasting water. Just in case, if there is an issue (only long stays apply) please contact the house manager immediately, so that the tank can be refilled.
Hot water
Hot water is provided by a solar panel and available 24/7. In case of heavy rain (unlikely) or if you have used up all the hot water, you can turn on the electric boiler for 20 minutes and then turn it off. You can turn on the electric boiler by lifting marked switch from the electric board, located on the ground floor next to the bathroom door.
General Advice
Be aware that access to emergency medical care is not as immediate or effective as it would be in an urban environment. Please be careful at all times, during your time at the villa and at all other times on the island. Call 112 in case of an emergency.

Swimming & Diving
Diving from the ground level is not advised. Diving from any other level is strictly prohibited. Using the swimming pool after consuming food or alcohol is not safe. Children should never be left unattended. Take a refreshing shower before diving into the pool. It’s a matter of hygiene. You can use the outdoors shower and jump right in!
Fire Extinguishers
2 Fire extinguishers are located in the utility room next to the kitchen.
Nature & Landscape
Make sure that the window nets are shut at all times. This will keep out all sorts of bugs and mosquitoes, as well as any kind of rodent that will smell food or seek cover. There are no dangerous spots on the lot but nevertheless, there are rocks and rough terrain surrounding the patio. Watch your step.
Power
Make sure that you do not overload electricity usage. Avoid turning on all A/Cs at once while cooking etc. That could lead to a power outage.
We do not need to confuse you with endless directions and lists. The easiest way to find what you are looking for, is to open Google Maps on your smartphone and search for Kea Island. Click on “close by” and then type “Super Market” for example. All available listings will come up. When planning a route to and from the villa, choose “Melissaki” which is the location where the villa is at.
The pool and the garden need to be maintained. The house manager will drop-in occasionally to do the work needed. We will be messaging you the previous day, to let you know that he will be coming.
The use of the Barbeque is not permitted due to safety reasons. Strong winds on the island are very unpredictable. Better be safe than sorry!
Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. Turn-off all appliances and A/Cs. Make sure that all doors and windows are closed. Leave the keys on the dining table or alternately in the key-box provided. (Instructions on how to use the key-box will be sent to you)
We have chosen not to require a damage deposit, no matter what platform our guests used to make their reservation. That applies to direct reservations as well. We did that because we believe that our guests are amazing people that will honor our agreement to respect this lovely place and the guests that will come after them. In case of any kind of accidental damage, please contact us immediately. If the item damaged needs to be replaced or repaired, you will receive a money request though your booking platform, along with the link for the item that needs to be replaced and the cost. It is very important to inform us as soon as possible, so that we will have enough time to replace the object before our next guests arrive.
